In Melbourne & Victoria (Australia), the recent second lockdown has meant that kids have had to complete Term 3 in remote learning situations, unlike the rest of the country. We are very interested in taking the opportunity to focus on the Melbourne / Victorian experience for kids and document what kids are playing as they return to school in early October. Below are two opportunities for schools to participate:
FOR KIDS – we have developed a class writing exercise asking kids to outline and explain THEIR FAVOURITE GAME.
FOR TEACHERS – We have developed a system whereby teachers can also submit observations of the playground.
We have designed both activities to be as easy as possible for teachers and kids to submit. We understand that everybody is very fatigued as a result of the extended lockdown period!
We DO NOT record the names of schools themselves, nor do we record any identifying information about children other than their grade level, first name and postcode.
